Resource Mobilization

Resource mobilization for the Makerere University Female Scholarship Foundation (FSF) is critical for its sustainability. In 2008, a three year strategy 2009- 2011 was developed and implemented. In 2011, the Carngie Corporation of NewYork (CCNY) offered Makerere University a matching grant of US$ 1million for scholarships, which means that for every dollar Makerere University and its strategic partners’ raises, Carnegie will match it with 3 dollars. Inorder to meet this matching grant Makerere University developed a Resource Mobilization Strategy 2012-2014.

Women and Leadership Project

The Women and Leadership Project in Makerere University is an intervention that resulted from the findings of a study commissioned by the Gender Mainstreaming Division now Directorate (GMD) in 2004.
